Background
The mural on the public toilets in Ohai is in need of a spruce up. Southland District Council and the Wallace Takitimu Community Board are seeking ideas for what could be portrayed on the mural.
What springs to mind when you think of Ohai? What would you like to see there?
Submit your ideas here or drop them into the suggestion box at the SDC Otautau Office, Ohai Medical Centre or Nightcaps Four Square.
Your Community Board will be making the final decision and it could be yours that they choose! So let your creativity shine through.
Feedback closes 13 November, 2023.
It would be great to have a community involved artwork.
It would be great to have a community involved artwork. I have a suggestion of a `helping hands` artwork (example attached) whereby local area kids and adults could draw around their hands and it could be transferred, and painted, onto area. Also to incorporate respected local Maori legend into the artwork would be meaningful. Everyone, that wanted to be involved with the artwork, should be given the opportunity to participate and get creative thus bringing takitimu communities together more. Thank you for letting me submit. Have a nice day,
